We started the club because of a perceived need for social interaction among young adults with ASD in the Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood and the surrounding area.
We have directly invited hundreds through ASD schools. We have indirectly contacted countless others through posters in local businesses and community centers, yard signs, t-shirts, social media, and neighborhood groups. Those efforts have been unsuccessful.
The club will celebrate its anniversary on February 25, 2027, and then cease operating unless participation consistently and dramatically increases before then.
We have received many thanks for starting the club and RSVPs of planned attendance. Unfortunately, participation does not match the number of RSVPs. We can appreciate life sometimes intrudes on follow through.
Nevertheless, the commitment of time and financial resources can be used elsewhere to further the lives of those with ASD.
If the ASD community does not take advantage of what the club offers, it will cease operations on February 25, 2027. Until then, the club will continue its monthly meetings. The next meeting is July 30th.
